Janine McMillan is a fully qualified dance teacher with over 20 years’ experience in teaching children and adults.
Janine has a BA (Hons) in Dance and Digital Performance (University of Hull), an MA in Digital Performance: Dance (University of Hull) a PG Cert in Dance/Movement Psychotherapy (University of Derby) and a PGCE (University of Hull). Janine is an associate member of the International Dance Teachers Association and has successfully completed training with 'Acrobatic Arts'.

Chanel has worked extensively in schools around Doncaster (including Hall Cross, Danum, Hilltop Primary and St Francis) delivering National Curriculum and extra curricular dance in Contemporary, Jazz, Acro and Street Dance and she also works in and around Doncaster teaching various styles in a number of dance schools.

Previously, Janine worked at the University Centre, Doncaster for 10 years where she was the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Dance Practice degree. Here she worked with undergraduate students preparing them for work in the dance industry.

Other work within the dance industry includes working as a dance practitioner with community groups such as ‘Voice of the Congolese Woman’ group (Supported by Tameside African refugee group and University of Derby), and Mind Doncaster (delivering dance sessions for adults with mental health issues and learning difficulties). She has worked with artists such as Lucie Lee Dance Company and numerous primary and secondary schools and for Liquidance (Ossett) 

Classes are taught by Janine McMillan and Chanel Hampton; both have extensive teaching experience and a real passion for dance and love to work with anybody who shares their enthusiasm!

'Stride School of Dance' was first opened by Janine under the name of Janine McMillan Dance in May 2016. Chanel Hampton joined the school in 2019 and together, they have become 'Stride School of Dance'. 

Chanel is a highly qualified dance/drama teacher with over 12 years teaching experience! She has a BA (Hons) degree in Dance Practice and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
